Fall update

Fall is officially here! Well, technically the first day of fall isn’t for a few more weeks but I always consider Labor Day as the first unofficial day of fall (or the end of summer), even though the weather here in Charlotte seems to think otherwise (it still feels like summer outside, for sure). But, we’re calling this week’s Five Things Friday the “Welcome to Fall Edition” because, in my mind, fall is officially here and it is definitely here at Learning Domestic Discipline as well. We’ve began with our new fall schedule (although, actually not much as changed) and fall to-do lists and projects. We’ve got some fun stuff planned.

Ever since the end of my no-spanking challenge I’ve managed to go “spank-free” or actually punishment free, for that matter, which has been awesome. Maybe ending the challenge wasn’t such a bad thing after all! Or, maybe it was the two pretty severe spankings I received that week that really changed my attitude. Either way, something is working – and I like it (and, I think my husband likes it even more).

Meredith from the blog New Twist After All These Years created a questionnaire for those in blogland to answer. Below are my answers, and if you haven’t answered it on your own blog yet we encourage you to do so. Thanks for the questions, Meredith!

Do your eyes light up when he comes to you? Always

What sports do you watch together? Mainly football. We’re big football fans (both college and NFL). We also like going to hockey games (but don’t really watch it much on TV), and occasionally we watch baseball. Oh, and we watch the Olympics when it’s Olympic season.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how important is lingerie when it usually ends up on the floor? I would say a 5 or a 6.

Do you watch Netflix’s House of Cards? No, but I’ve heard a lot about it! We watch a few other Netflix shows though, and we recently started watching Dexter on Netflix (and we’re hooked!).

What outdoor activity do you do together? We love going to the lake. When the weather is nice (which, thankfully is often here in NC) we go to the lake almost every weekend.

What is his dream vacation? I would say anything tropical (Fiji, Tahiti, etc.). Or Greece. He’s always wanted to go to the coast of Greece (someday babe, someday!).

What is your dream vacation? Probably Bora Bora/Tahiti. Or that underwater hotel in Fiji (I think it is). That looks amazing.

What is your favorite book of all time? That’s a really hard one. Probably Eat, Pray, Love (and, not the movie guys. The book.)

What was your last argument about? No comment.

Are there any words you use that he does not like? Any curse word. It used to be a big problem, but it’s been much better lately. Other than that, I can’t think of anything.

Do you have any restrictions about internet time? No, but I’m sure I would if it became an issue.

Do you have a phobia? I can’t really think of any. I really don’t like spiders, snakes, etc. but I’m not terrified of them. So no, I can’t think of anything.

When do you melt into his arms? At the end of every single day. It’s, honestly, the best part of the day most of the time.

Are you watching Outlander? I don’t even know what that is.

Does your Hoh have a motto? He said “it makes much more sense to live in the present tense. No, don’t put that. I don’t know. I don’t have a motto.” So there you have it, lol.

What is your question for me? What’s the best place you’ve ever visited?
